I did not miss the point. I specifically addressed your point by agreeing that there are no non-standard speed daggers, but they are faster than normal 1Hers. I did not say nor imply that daggers were normalized to 2.4s. Slower 1H weapons of the same itemlvl absolutely do not have higher DPS. 2H weapons have higher DPS than 1H, obviously.Obviously RSK doesn't do it anymore, that's why I made a point of linking to the 6.2.3 version. Reading comprehension, man, c'mon. The passive I linked only applies to autoattack damage, which, again, I made a point to note.
My whole point was looking back to 6.2.3. There was nothing else.Fury would need a compensatory buff/debuff sort of thing, yeah, true.
but what happens if I push the 2 key?
Hope this means we can use dual wield 1h as fury warriors again. It's boring just using 1 kind of weapons. I personally don't like that I must use 2h dual wield.. I don't like that playstyle, it shouldn't be like that, people should be able to play with whatever weapons they like (if you can get the weapon with the stats you need ofc) I hope blizzard reads the comments about people that feel the same way that I do. I want one handed dual wield again! PLEASE!
This also strikes me as a faster calculation. Ok - extremely minor, but I imagine for servers handling hundreds of thousands of players it'll add up.
numbers numbers every where and yet it is all Greek to me. this is a small issue i have but i think its something alot of players have in the back of their head, but to me all these numbers are pointless. i am a smart man and have taken advanced physics classes in college so dont get me wrong i could easily learn all these equations and min max like the best of them, but without the equations these numbers are pointless. to the casual player they will just go "these numbers are bigger so i go with them" but with out any meaning behind those numbers except "they make me stronger" it just feels empty and ruins the enjoyment one can get out of getting new gear. but hey who knows i could be over thinking this like i usually do so sorry for the rant and the rambling just needed to get this out of my head
Out of curiosity what is basis for the " / 3.5 " in the Legion damage formula? I see it listed for the Frostscythe and auto-attack damage.
Wld be worth meantioning, I think, that a two-handed weapon usually have better stats than a dagger, thus a fury warrior would face a dps loss if entering a fight with one-hand weapons. I think.
from what ive seen these changes (scaling from wep dmg to AP) is to bring back SMF, 2H fronst and simmilar playstyles, as all abilities should do the same dmg just that the white dmg is different (faster attacks for less dmg)
Can somebody give me the TLDR here? I'm not drudging through this wall of text argument any further. Are we back where we were pre-WoD, where you sometimes had to decide whether 2-1h weapons were better than 1-2h weapon? Will a weapon upgrade feel meaningful to us fury warriors again? Will Single-minded fury be a viable (or even possible) play style again?
